Track progress photos and body weight

Upload progress photos for a client, see every set they have taken, and bring their body weight history across from another app.

How to see every progress photo a client has, add sets of photos yourself from your computer, and import a client's body weight history from the CSV or Excel export of the app they used before. Together with check-ins, this is where a client's visible progress lives.

Progress photos and body weight are the two measures clients care about most, and both can start before they ever open your app. The Photos tab on a client's page gathers every set of photos in one place, from check-ins, from the client's own Progress screen and from your uploads. The Body Weight card on their Profile tab plots every reading, and can take the history a client already has in another app.

See every photo set

Open the client and choose Photos. Each date is one card with the front, side and back photos taken that day, newest first. A badge says where the set came from: a check-in, the client's own app, or you. Click any photo to see it full size.

Photos a client took in their app stay theirs. You can remove the ones you uploaded with the bin icon above the photo.

Upload photos for a client

Clients often arrive with photos from a previous coach or from their own camera roll. In the Add photos panel at the top of the tab:

  1. Set Date taken to the day the photos were taken, not today. The date is what lines them up against check-ins and the client's own photos.
  2. Click or drop a photo into the Front, Side and Back slots. Any of the three can be left empty.
  3. Click Add another set for each further date, then Upload.

Photos are resized and compressed in your browser before they are sent, the same way the client app does it, so a 10 MB camera photo takes a moment to prepare and a fraction of that to upload. JPEG, PNG and WebP work everywhere; HEIC photos straight from an iPhone work in Safari and are best converted to JPEG first elsewhere.

Uploaded photos appear in the client's app on their Progress screen, side by side with their own, and in the compare view when you review a check-in.

Import body weight history

On the client's Profile tab, the Body Weight card has an Import button. It takes the export from almost any tracking app, because every one of them comes down to a date column and a weight column:

  • MyFitnessPal, Happy Scale, Renpho, Withings and Fitbit exports (CSV)
  • Apple Health or Google Fit data someone has exported to a spreadsheet
  • An Excel or Numbers sheet the client or a previous coach kept by hand
  • Rows copied straight from Google Sheets and pasted in

Choose the file or paste the rows, then click Read rows. The review step lists every reading that was found and flags anything it had to guess:

  • Unit. The unit is read from the column heading or the values. If the sheet does not say, kg is assumed; switch to lbs if that is wrong and every reading is converted.
  • Dates. A date like 05/01/2026 could be 5 January or 1 May. The importer settles it when any date in the sheet makes one order impossible; otherwise it reads day first and shows a switch so you can flip it.
  • Several readings on one day. Only one weight is kept per day. When an app exported morning and evening weigh-ins, the later one in the file wins.

Days the client has already logged are marked. They are kept unless you tick Replace readings already logged on the same day, so importing an old export never overwrites a recent check-in by accident.

Imported readings show as body weight in the client's app and count towards the bodyweight task on the days they cover.
