Getting started

The TrainerStack client app is used by clients who have been invited by their personal trainer or coach. Your trainer creates your account and sends an invitation to your email address. Sign in with that same address.

If you are a trainer looking to manage clients, programs, and check-ins, use the web platform at trainerstack.pro rather than the client app. The trainer guides cover every part of it.

Common questions

I can't sign in, or I never received my invitation

Check your spam and promotions folders first. If you still can't find it, use Forgot password on the sign-in screen to set a new password, or ask your trainer to resend the invitation to make sure they have the right email address on file.

Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect

The app can read your steps and sleep so your trainer can see your daily activity and recovery alongside your training. Connect or disconnect this at any time from the Connections screen in the app, or in your device's Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) settings.

The app only reads this data. It never writes anything back to Apple Health or Health Connect, and health data is never used for advertising. See our App Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Progress photos and check-ins

Check-ins are forms your trainer sets up for you, and they can include measurements and progress photos. Photos you attach are visible to your trainer and are stored securely. Camera and photo library access are both optional. Declining either simply disables that part of the check-in.

Logging food and scanning barcodes

You can search the food library by name or scan a product barcode. Both branded search results and scanned products draw on Open Food Facts, a public food database, used under the Open Database License (ODbL). When a product declares a serving size, the app defaults to logging 1 serve; you can switch to grams or millilitres and type an exact amount instead, and you can change the amount later by tapping the logged item.

If a scan finds nothing, the product isn't in Open Food Facts yet (or is listed there without its nutrition). The app asks you to copy the nutrition panel from the pack, using the per 100 g column, and saves it against that barcode, so it scans straight away next time for you and for your trainer's other clients. If a scan returns the wrong product, please email us the barcode number so we can look into it.

Whole foods in the library, such as fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood, use data from the Australian Food Composition Database: Food Standards Australia New Zealand, Australian Food Composition Database – Release 3, used under CC BY-SA 3.0 AU. There are limitations associated with food composition databases. Food composition data used in the database or databases may represent an average of the nutrient content of a particular sample of foods and ingredients, determined at a particular time. The nutrient composition of foods and ingredients can vary substantially between batches and brands because of a number of factors, including changes in season, processing practices and ingredient source, and methods of calculation.

Notifications

Notifications cover things like session reminders and new check-ins from your trainer. If they stop arriving, check that notifications are still enabled for TrainerStack in your device settings.

Deleting your account

Open the Profile tab and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the personal data we hold for you as described in our App Privacy Policy. Your trainer may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as billing history.

Report a bug or request a feature

Email support@trainerstack.pro with a description of what happened, what you expected instead, and a screenshot if you have one. Including your device model, operating system version, and the app version from the Profile tab helps us reproduce the problem quickly.
