Install the TrainerStack trainer app

The trainer app is how check-ins, chat messages and booking alerts reach you when you are away from your desk. It is still in its testing phase, so it is not in the App Store or the Play Store search yet. Installing it takes a couple of minutes on iPhone. On Android it takes one extra step from us first.

iPhone: install through TestFlight

TestFlight is Apple's own app for installing apps that are still being tested. It is free and safe, and you only set it up once.

1. Install TestFlight. Open the App Store on your iPhone, search for TestFlight and install it. It is made by Apple.
2. Open the TrainerStack link on your iPhone: testflight.apple.com/join/e19DVbP7. Open it on the phone itself, not on your computer. It opens TestFlight.
3. Tap Accept, then Install. TrainerStack Pro installs like any other app and appears on your home screen.
4. Sign in with the email and password you use for the dashboard, or ask for a sign-in code by email.
5. Allow notifications when the app asks. That is what ticks the checklist item.

Updates arrive through TestFlight on their own. If TestFlight ever says the build has expired, open TestFlight and tap Install or Update on TrainerStack Pro.

Android: request access, then install from Google Play

On Android the app is in a Google Play closed test, so we add each trainer by hand before the Play Store will show it to you.

1. Send us your Google Play email. On your Home tab, open Getting started → Get the apps → Install the trainer app, choose Android, enter the Google account email your phone's Play Store uses, and click Request access. To find it, open the Play Store and tap your profile picture. The email is under your name.
2. Wait for our email. We add you to the test and email you the opt-in link, usually within one business day. The request shows on the checklist until then.
3. Open the link on your phone while signed in to the same Google account, and tap Become a tester.
4. Tap Download it on Google Play, then Install. If the Play Store says the app is not available yet, wait a few minutes and try again. A new tester can take a little while to come through.
5. Sign in and allow notifications, the same as on iPhone.

If it is not working

• The TestFlight link says the beta is full or not accepting testers. Send us a message through Help → Report a problem and we will sort it out.
• The link opens a web page instead of TestFlight. Install TestFlight first (step 1), then open the link again on the iPhone.
• Android: "The item you were searching for is not available". You are signed in to a different Google account than the one you sent us, or we have not added you yet. Check the account in the Play Store profile and, if it differs, send the right email from the checklist again.
• The checklist item will not tick. It ticks when your phone registers for notifications. Open the app, go to Settings → Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed, then reload the dashboard. You can also tick it by hand.
